Our Doctors

April Rodriguez, DVM

As an only child born and raised in Dallas, TX animals were always a great source of love and companionship. Her childhood dream was to become a Veterinarian. Dr. Rodriguez spent the majority of her free time finding and caring for stray animals and each held a piece of her heart. She attended SMU where she earned her undergraduate degree and then pursued her childhood dream at Ross University where she achieved her Veterinary degree in 2004. Dr. Rodriguez married one of her Vet school classmates and then relocated to New York where she and her husband began their careers in veterinary medicine. Her husband, Dr. Tony Rodriguez, then began his own equine ambulatory practice, Foxfield Equine in 2006, and she continued to practice small animal medicine. As an Associate Veterinarian, Dr. Rodriguez felt she was limited in the quality of care she could offer her patients/clients and thus made the decision to begin her own practice with her husband. Dr. Rodriguez strives to treat each patient as if they were her own and her clients with respect and compassion. She aims to offer the very best medicine and technology currently available while always keeping her patient’s best interests at heart. In her free time, Dr. Rodriguez enjoys spending time with all of her family, Tony (husband), Austin (son), Blake (son), Brooke (daughter), and her dogs Diesel and Tally!

Dr. Anthony Rodriguez, DVM

Dr. Anthony Rodriguez was born and raised in Chester County Pennsylvania. He was an avid equestrian during his childhood and while attending Ursinus College in Collegeville Pa. He went on to attend The American School of Equine Dentistry and apprentice with Chester County Farrier Associates prior to attending Ross University. He completed his veterinary education at the University of Pennsylvania prior to moving to New York where he began his veterinary career at Pine Bush Equine. In 2006 Anthony along with his wife Dr. April Rodriguez and their two dogs returned to Chester County and founded Foxfield Equine. Foxfield Veterinary Services was founded by April and Anthony in hopes of offering high-quality medicine, surgery, and comprehensive care for all the pets they love. Dr. Anthony Rodriguez has a special interest in soft tissue and orthopedic surgery as well as ultrasonography. Dr. Rodriguez is an SDEP certified sonographer and instructor. Dr. Rodriguez enjoys spending his free time with his three children (Brooke, Blake, and Austin) along with their two dogs (Diesel and Tally).

Dr. Caitlin Riley, DVM

Dr. Caitlin Riley was born in California but grew up in Exton, Pennsylvania. She has always known she has wanted to work with animals and attended West Chester University to get her Bachelor’s degree in Biology. During her undergraduate studies, she worked at a local veterinary hospital, volunteered at Diamond Rock Wildlife Rehabilitation, and was an animal care intern at the Philadelphia Zoo.
Dr. Riley attended Veterinary School at the University of Glasgow in Scotland, where she achieved her BVMS degree in 2016 and became a member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons. Studying at Glasgow allowed her to experience a wide range of veterinary fields and she chose electives in emergency medicine and the small animal referral hospital. She joined the FVS team in 2016.
In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, traveling, painting, and spending time with friends and family.

Dr. Matt Montresor, DVM

Dr. Matt Montresor grew up in Baltimore, Maryland, where his love of animals inspired him to spend many hours working at a local animal shelter. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Animal Bioscience from Penn State University before moving to Philadelphia to further his veterinary education. Dr. Matt graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 2011. He then went on to apply his veterinary skills at a non-profit animal clinic in Philadelphia, providing much-needed veterinary care to the pets of low-income communities, and he served on the Board of Directors for the city’s Animal Care & Control Team.
For nearly a decade, Dr. Matt has been living in Chester County while continuing to practice small animal medicine, cultivating his interests in dermatology, preventive care, and evidence-based medicine.
Dr. Matt joined Foxfield Veterinary Services in 2020 and is thrilled to be part of such a dedicated team that shares his passion for animals.
In his free time, Dr. Matt is an avid Penn State sports fan and video game enthusiast. He also enjoys spending time with his wife and their 100 lb lapdog, Drake.
