Our Doctors

Dr. April Rodriguez, DVM

Founder, Medical Director

As an only child born and raised in Dallas, TX animals were always a great source of love and companionship. Her childhood dream was to become a veterinarian. Dr. Rodriguez spent much of her free time finding and caring for stray animals and each held a piece of her heart. She attended SMU where she earned her undergraduate degree and then pursued her childhood dream at Ross University where she achieved her Veterinary degree in 2004. Dr. Rodriguez married one of her Vet school classmates and then relocated to New York where she and her husband began their careers in veterinary medicine. In 2006, she and her husband decided to move to Pennsylvania to be close to family and friends. Since their move they continued to practice veterinary medicine and aim to offer the very best medicine and technology currently available while always keeping their patients’ best interests at heart.  In her free time, Dr Rodriguez enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband and three children.

Dr. Anthony Rodriguez, DVM

Associate Veterinarian

Foxfield Veterinary Services was founded by April and Anthony in hopes of offering high-quality medicine, surgery, and comprehensive care for all the pets they love. Dr. Anthony Rodriguez has a special interest in soft tissue and orthopedic surgery as well as ultrasonography. Dr. Rodriguez is an SDEP certified sonographer and instructor. Dr. Rodriguez enjoys spending his free time with his three children (Brooke, Blake, and Austin). In 2021 they made the decision to sell the practice to have more time with their family.

Dr. Matt Montresor, VMD

Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Matt Montresor grew up in Baltimore, Maryland, where his love of animals inspired him to spend many hours working at a local animal shelter. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Animal Bioscience from Penn State University before moving to Philadelphia to further his veterinary education. Dr. Matt graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 2011. He then went on to apply his veterinary skills at a non-profit animal clinic in Philadelphia, providing much-needed veterinary care to the pets of low-income communities, and he served on the Board of Directors for the city’s Animal Care & Control Team.
For more than a decade, Dr. Matt has been living in Chester County while continuing to practice small animal medicine, cultivating his interests in dermatology, preventive care, and evidence-based medicine.
Dr. Matt joined Foxfield Veterinary Services in 2020 and is proud to be part of such a dedicated team that shares his passion for animals.
In his free time, Dr. Matt is an avid Penn State sports fan and video game enthusiast. He also enjoys spending time with his wife and their own animals.

Dr. Joanna Pinola, BVMS

Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Joanna Pinola (“Dr. Jo”) grew up in Bensalem, Pennsylvania. She bonded with the family cat as a baby, loved taking care of their dog as she grew older and has always had a pet since. After a brief and unfulfilling career as a chemical engineer, Dr. Jo followed her heart to animal care. She started working in the kennel at a local veterinary hospital, learning and working her way up to becoming a veterinary technician. While studying for veterinary techmician certification, she realized that her true calling was to be a veterinarian and decided to go for it. Dr. Jo moved her whole life (including 2 Great Danes!) to Glasgow, Scotland to attend veterinary school at the University of Glasgow. She earned her BVMS degree in 2016 and joined the FVS team in January 2022. She believes in the importance of low stress handling and a holistic, integrative approach to medicine, treating the whole patient and looking for natural and behavioral solutions to support her medical treatments. She is a true friend of animals and is passionate about caring for them and easing their suffering.
When she’s not working she’s likely hanging out with her fuzzy kitty Minerva and her loving, goofy dog Dobby, and is also likely playing a video game with Minerva firmly planted between her and her keyboard.

Dr. Caitlin Riley, BVMS

Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Caitlin Riley grew up locally in Exton, PA. Like many veterinarians, she has shown a fascination and love of animals from a young age. Later in life, she was fortunate enough to volunteer at a wildlife rehabilitation center, was an animal care intern at the Philadelphia Zoo, and was employed as a veterinary technician. Caitlin attended West Chester University for her bachelor’s degree in biology, then traveled overseas to Glasgow, Scotland and obtained her veterinary degree. Caitlin loved her time in Scotland, and it allowed for a wide range of veterinary experiences and travel opportunities! Missing her family and friends, she then came back to the area and joined the Foxfield team in 2016, shortly after graduation. While working, Caitlin always strives to provide quality medicine and compassionate care to all her patients and their owners. In her free time, Caitlin enjoys traveling, going to concerts, painting, and adventuring with her dog Benny (Sir Benedict).

At Foxfield, Nancy loves contributing to the well-being of animals.  She highly values the relationships she’s developed with the rest of the Foxfield team and is proud to have been awarded the honorary title of “Den Mother” earlier this year.  When she’s not working with animals, she’s most often actually at home… working with more animals, particularly her four beloved Nigerian dwarf goats, two mini horses, and 5 dogs.

Heaven

And that dream came true when she started her career as a Veterinary Technician at Foxfield. She considers this to be one of her biggest accomplishments! Aside from having her three beautiful children, whom she enjoys teaching about animals on their farm. She looks forward to many more years at Foxfield assisting in the best care for owners and their pets!
