Our Doctors

Dr. April Rodriguez, DVM

Founder, Medical Director

As an only child born and raised in Dallas, TX animals were always a great source of love and companionship. Her childhood dream was to become a veterinarian. Dr. Rodriguez spent much of her free time finding and caring for stray animals and each held a piece of her heart. She attended SMU where she earned her undergraduate degree and then pursued her childhood dream at Ross University where she achieved her Veterinary degree in 2004. Dr. Rodriguez married one of her Vet school classmates and then relocated to New York where she and her husband began their careers in veterinary medicine. In 2006, she and her husband decided to move to Pennsylvania to be close to family and friends. Since their move they continued to practice veterinary medicine and aim to offer the very best medicine and technology currently available while always keeping their patients’ best interests at heart.  In her free time, Dr Rodriguez enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband and three children.

Dr. Anthony Rodriguez, DVM

Associate Veterinarian

Foxfield Veterinary Services was founded by April and Anthony in hopes of offering high-quality medicine, surgery, and comprehensive care for all the pets they love. Dr. Anthony Rodriguez has a special interest in soft tissue and orthopedic surgery as well as ultrasonography. Dr. Rodriguez is an SDEP certified sonographer and instructor. Dr. Rodriguez enjoys spending his free time with his three children (Brooke, Blake, and Austin). In 2021 they made the decision to sell the practice to have more time with their family.

Dr. Matt Montresor, VMD

Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Matt Montresor grew up in Baltimore, Maryland, where his love of animals inspired him to spend many hours working at a local animal shelter. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Animal Bioscience from Penn State University before moving to Philadelphia to further his veterinary education. Dr. Matt graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 2011. He then went on to apply his veterinary skills at a non-profit animal clinic in Philadelphia, providing much-needed veterinary care to the pets of low-income communities, and he served on the Board of Directors for the city’s Animal Care & Control Team.
For more than a decade, Dr. Matt has been living in Chester County while continuing to practice small animal medicine, cultivating his interests in dermatology, preventive care, and evidence-based medicine.
Dr. Matt joined Foxfield Veterinary Services in 2020 and is proud to be part of such a dedicated team that shares his passion for animals.
In his free time, Dr. Matt is an avid Penn State sports fan and video game enthusiast. He also enjoys spending time with his wife and their own animals.

Dr. Joanna Pinola, BVMS

Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Joanna Pinola (“Dr. Jo”) grew up in Bensalem, Pennsylvania. She bonded with the family cat as a baby, loved taking care of their dog as she grew older and has always had a pet since. After a brief and unfulfilling career as a chemical engineer, Dr. Jo followed her heart to animal care. She started working in the kennel at a local veterinary hospital, learning and working her way up to becoming a veterinary technician. While studying for veterinary techmician certification, she realized that her true calling was to be a veterinarian and decided to go for it. Dr. Jo moved her whole life (including 2 Great Danes!) to Glasgow, Scotland to attend veterinary school at the University of Glasgow. She earned her BVMS degree in 2016 and joined the FVS team in January 2022. She believes in the importance of low stress handling and a holistic, integrative approach to medicine, treating the whole patient and looking for natural and behavioral solutions to support her medical treatments. She is a true friend of animals and is passionate about caring for them and easing their suffering.
When she’s not working she’s likely hanging out with her fuzzy kitty Minerva and her loving, goofy dog Dobby, and is also likely playing a video game with Minerva firmly planted between her and her keyboard.

Dr. Caitlin Riley, BVMS

Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Caitlin Riley grew up locally in Exton, PA. Like many veterinarians, she has shown a fascination and love of animals from a young age. Later in life, she was fortunate enough to volunteer at a wildlife rehabilitation center, was an animal care intern at the Philadelphia Zoo, and was employed as a veterinary technician. Caitlin attended West Chester University for her bachelor’s degree in biology, then traveled overseas to Glasgow, Scotland and obtained her veterinary degree. Caitlin loved her time in Scotland, and it allowed for a wide range of veterinary experiences and travel opportunities! Missing her family and friends, she then came back to the area and joined the Foxfield team in 2016, shortly after graduation. While working, Caitlin always strives to provide quality medicine and compassionate care to all her patients and their owners. In her free time, Caitlin enjoys traveling, going to concerts, painting, and adventuring with her dog Benny (Sir Benedict).

Our Practice Manager

Justine has been a part of Foxfield since 2014, first as a technician then becoming manager in 2021.  She comes with a background in retail management including big box retailers. Justine has loved watching our client’s pets grow and develop over the years and ensuring they receive the best in patient care. In addition to running the busy hospital, Justine is an avid equestrian and Thoroughbred breeder. When not at the clinic, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband, two daughters, bulldog, two cats, and 24 horses at their farm in Chester Springs.

Our Technicians

Destiny joined FVS in the summer of 2021 as a receptionist and later trained to become a Vet Tech. She went to the Technical College High school of Brandywine for Veterinary Sciences and has always loved working with animals ever since she was little. In her free time, she loves to spend time with her husband, playing with her cat Rocket, and going to conventions!

Sophia joined the Foxfield team in January of 2024 after more than a decade of experience as a veterinary technician. She has worked in a variety of different specialties including surgery, reproductive medicine, emergency clinics and general practice. She’s excited to join a practice like FVS where she can rely on her wide variety of knowledge and experience. Sophia has a special fondness for bulldogs of all sizes, and in her free time enjoys spending time with her daughter, her boyfriend, and their menagerie of pets.

After a 17-year break to focus on raising her two beautiful daughters, Nancy returned to the workforce as a veterinary technician in June 2020. Nancy has always had a deep love for animals, which led her to earn an animal science degree from the University of Delaware.
At Foxfield, Nancy loves contributing to the well-being of animals.  She highly values the relationships she’s developed with the rest of the Foxfield team and is proud to have been awarded the honorary title of “Den Mother” earlier this year.  When she’s not working with animals, she’s most often actually at home… working with more animals, particularly her four beloved Nigerian dwarf goats, two mini horses, and 5 dogs.

Heaven started at Foxfield Veterinary Services in February of 2022. As a little girl she always knew she wanted to work with animals in some way! And that dream came true when she started her career as a Veterinary Technician at Foxfield. She considers this to be one of her biggest accomplishments! Aside from having her three beautiful children, whom she enjoys teaching about animals on their farm. She looks forward to many more years at Foxfield assisting in the best care for owners and their pets!

Katie has been with Foxfield since October 2020 working as a veterinary technician. She has always loved animals and known she was meant to work with them. In her spare time, she love to read, spend time with her family and her dog Theo!

Skyler joined the Foxfield Team in the Spring of 2022. She had always known that she wanted to work with animals and stated in her 5th grade yearbook that her dream job was to become a zookeeper. She is currently taking classes online to complete her degree in animal science to become an LVT. She has two dogs, Sasha and Koda, and a cat, Stormy, and one day hopes to own her own small farm.

Our Receptionists

Libby lives at home with 2 cardigan Welsh Corgies, rescue Pomeranian and a rescue tuxedo cat. She enjoys having lunch with her friends and working outdoors.

Bridget joined Foxfield and has been working part time in reception since Fall of 2023. Although she is new to the veterinary world, she finds the staff to be supportive and kind. Bridget makes the most out of every opportunity and is always excited to greet clients and make new friends with the patients. She is looking forward to learning more about what goes into veterinary practices behind the scenes as she continues to navigate this new experience.

Sammi joined the FVS team in the summer of 2021 after spending years working with dogs in a daycare/boarding/training facility.  She enjoys learning about companion animal medical conditions and helping teach clients how to be proactive in their pets’ health.
